Publishing / Broadcasting Our Images: Investiture Stills for Publication (click here for rates)
Should you wish to enquire as to whether you may publish a still image, please contact us and we will be happy to obtain clarification / approval from the Royal Household / Press Office. Approval would usually be granted so long as the recipient of the award has given permission and also the picture/article is used in the correct context to which the honour was obtained. Typical examples for use are in-house newsletters which are not used in anyway for marketing or advertising. If you are a recipient and DO NOT want your images made available to the media, please ensure that you inform the Central Chancery by indication on their form provided to you. Throught the year Investitures are seen 'live' (or recorded) by millions of television viewers worldwide as celebrities receive their awards. Previous recipients have include; Sir Tom Jones, Sir David Jason, Dame Ellen MacArthur and Private Johnson Beharry, who received the Victoria Cross. Footage from the BCA library is also available for certain television broadcasts and can often be the crowning moment of a good documentary. This is subject to prior approval from the Press Office and obviously the Recipient. We have 'broadcast quality' footage of every recipient invested since February 1991 in Buckingham Palace, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Cardiff Castle and Windsor Castle. |
